Man charged with shooting badger

A man from Cornwall has been charged with shooting dead a badger.
Police were called after the animal was found in the Towednack area of St
Ives last September.
The 57-year-old from St Ives faces charges of killing a badger and using a
firearm to kill a badger under the 1992 Protection of Badgers Act.
The man, who was arrested in April, has been bailed and is due to appear
before West Cornwall Magistrates' Court on 30 June.
