Badgers are Fully Protected by the Law
Remember that badgers and their setts are fully protected by the law.
You are not legally permitted to take, poison, injure, shoot, kill a
badger; or to damage its sett.
There is a licence procedure, which may allow the government to grant
a licence to a recognised badger specialist to move a badger or to move
a sett. The badger specialist you applies for the licence will be able
to explain what the licence would allow them to do on your behalf.
There is no provision in the licensing procedure to have a badger
killed because it is causing you a nuisance, by digging in your garden
or damaging your property or because you are prejudiced against badgers.
