Overview

Badgerland only covers badgers in the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland and Eire). Generally, we do not cover other countries. That said, we have listed a few links here to badger-related web sites for other countries:

The badger we have here in the UK is a variant known as Meles meles. Generally our badger is black and white in colour.

The badger which lives in North America is slightly different, and is known as Taxidea taxus. Generally the North American badger is brown and cream in colour.
